A major finance company
A major finance company was looking to plan an office migration where they were consolidating multiple sites into a new, purpose built location. The challenges they faced included the tight restrictions on movements in a central London location, loading bays located underground which restricted accessibility and added time to deliveries and the need to continue to provide business as usual services to both the legacy and new locations. We were able to use our Delivery Management System we were able to graphically present all the demands and constraints of the process and provide a tool to plan ad track actual movements.
Pallet Tracking
Working with a Logistics Contractor we developed the specification for a system to record and track the movement of pallets on and off a site. Tools were developed to allow bulk recording of movements and keep a record of the number of pallets on site at any one time. This allowed the client to charge for on-site pallet storage on a daily basis.
Commercial Building Consolidation
An inner London office complex had heavy limits imposed on it, on the number of vehicle movements that were allowed. This meant that the usual process of allowing all tenants to order goods and supplies and have them delivered directly to the building would result in far exceeding the capacity of the site. An outline specification was developed which looked at an external facility with capabilities to consolidate deliveries onto electric vans doing milk-round deliveries into site. This enabled the client to go to market for potential suppliers.
