Zone Manager Delivery Management Software FAQ’s
Zone Manager is quick to set up and our team will advise and assist you on the best way to configure the system for your specific project requirements.
Zone Manager’s bookings diary is different due to its built-in intelligence that prevents double-bookings, its Outlook-style calendar for easy scheduling, and its customizable nature to fit specific project and site requirements.The system is browser-based, allowing for cross-platform compatibility, and offers features like resource booking, repeat bookings, and analytics for optimized logistics management.
Zone Manager is browser based and so works across any platform with a modern browser.
Zone Manager is a portal which is available 24/7. As a self-service platform, suppliers can access it by simply signing in. It’s both straightforward for suppliers to do this themselves, and for managers to oversee and control their access from a central point.
The different levels of access which can be set up in Zone Manager are:
- Contractor – make and manage their own bookings. These are of two types; those that can only request delivery slots (Requestor) and those that can make confirmed bookings (Booker)
- Administrator – system administrators who can do everything from configuration changes to managing bookings.
- Admin Viewer – read-only access to everything which is typically given to system overseers.
- Supervisor – day-to-day tasks such as managing bookings and setting up logins but can’t make configuration changes.
- Gate Operator – booking deliveries in and out of site
Schedules are shown both on an interactive diary and on booking lists.
On-site training is provided where possible as part of all subscription packages. We can also offer online training as an alternative.
Yes, the DMS works on hand-held devices such as tablets and all modern browsers.

Yes, our system allows suppliers to book their own deliveries, and site managers to control delivery point and gate.
Absolutely, ZoneManager is designed to do just that. ZoneManager offers a browser-based online portal where your customers can schedule their own delivery times within time slots which you control.
Zone Manager contains many reports such as supplier performance, delivery point usage and CO2 emissions. Reports and booking data can be exported to Excel.
Yes, the supplier can easily book deliveries, resources and collections through our self-explanatory booking process.
Suppliers can be set up as only being able to request booking slots, or make confirmed bookings.
Yes, resources can be booked in unison with the delivery or separately.
Yes, diarised and tabular views are provided to allow admins and supervisors to track and manage the delivery schedule. Suppliers have similar capability but are restricted to their own bookings.
The registration feature allows the supplier to request a new company account and login credentials. Registration requests can easily be approved or rejected by site administrator, giving you control over who can make bookings.
The DMS supports security through its invite-only access and centralised overview and control of site access by a manager who confirms bookings.
An unlimited number of loading bays and service areas can be configured. Operational windows, default slot sizes, maximum vehicle sizes, supplier access rights can be easily configured.
Yes, the system is hosted on our secure UK servers.
Yes, the system allows you to grant and deny supplier access, not just to delivery points, but gates and vehicle types.
Yes, by default delivery points are open and the system allows you to configure closed periods.
Outer perimeter marshalls can track when vehicles arrive and leave the site. The delivery area marshalls can further track when vehicles enter and leave their specific delivery areas.
Yes, Zone Manager updates automatically so your warehouse team can review the delivery schedules in real-time.
The DMS can automatically manage the capacity of vehicle search areas. Deliveries for areas that require “clean” vehicles can automatically have a vehicle search slot booked.
